Central Trust PLC was formed by our Chairman, Andrew Turner in September 1987 and started trading on 1 May 1988. In May 2003 we celebrated our 15th Birthday.
The company started in small offices in the west end of London and moved out to Hendon, North London in 1991. In 1995 having outgrown these premises we moved to new offices in Watford, Herts. Continued growth meant a further move to bigger offices in Watford in 1997. However even these offices were too small to deliver the planned growth of the business. So in early 2003 we relocated again to larger offices still in Watford.
In September 2000 we opened our second office located in Norwich, Norfolk which is now also the group's head office.
In January 2001 we opened a third office located in St. Peter Port, Guernsey from where we carry out our broking operations.
During 2005 a group structure was put in place to better reflect the strategic and organisational structure of our business and in 2006 we completed our first acquisition, and in December 2007 we completed our second acquisition. The companies in the group are as follows:
